Huadian Xinji 100MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Demonstration Project (Featuring the World’s Tallest Wind Turbine)
Scigreat provides supporting PV mounting systems for the 500MW (Phase III 100MW) wind power project of Huadian Xinji in Hebei. With the hoisting of the last 204m ultra-high concrete-steel hybrid wind turbine completed, this wind-solar hybrid project marks another key domestic reference case for our company.
The construction of the 500MW wind power project (Phase III: 100MW) of Huadian Xinji in Hebei has been successfully completed. The hoisting of the last 204m ultra-high concrete-steel hybrid tower wind turbine unit was finished smoothly. Our company supplies PV mounting systems for this project to support the delivery of the wind-solar hybrid new energy project in Xinji, Hebei Province.
Located in Xincheng Town, Tiangongying Township, Jiucheng Town and Qianying Township of Xinji City, Hebei Province, Phase III of the project has an installed capacity of 100MW, with 16 wind turbine units each of 6250kW. The EPC general contracting work is undertaken by a consortium of Sinohydro Bureau 16 Co., Ltd. and PowerChina Guiyang Engineering Corporation Limited. The winning bid amount stands at 593 million RMB. Construction officially commenced on January 25, 2026.
Power generated by the project is fed into the Phase-I 220kV step-up substation via four 35kV collector lines. Adopting the power transmission scheme of “on-site collection, cascaded step-up and efficient outward delivery”, the project leverages mature regional road networks for transportation of large equipment. Upon completion, it will build a green power supply system featuring “source-grid coordination and local power consumption”, strongly supporting the layout of clean energy industry in southern Hebei Province. The project achieved efficient construction milestones: the concrete pouring of the first wind turbine foundation was completed on March 26, 2026, and all wind turbine hoisting work was finished on July 10 of the same year.
For the distributed PV section supporting this wind farm, Scigreat provides professional solar mounting products. Adapted to the open outdoor working conditions of the wind farm, our products take full account of wind load resistance, weathering corrosion resistance and on-site installation efficiency, meeting the construction requirements of the supporting PV system. Combined with the wind power system, it realizes wind-solar complementarity, further tapping the land resource value of the site and raising the overall green power output.
Wind-solar multi-energy complementarity represents an important development direction of domestic new energy industry. Going forward, Scigreat will continue to deliver reliable mounting solutions for diversified scenarios including PV systems attached to wind farms, mountain PV, fishery-solar hybrid projects and industrial & commercial PV carports. We will deeply participate in the construction of various large-scale domestic new energy bases and facilitate the high-quality development of the new power system.
